Naomi Travers, DCNP

Naomi Travers is a dermatology-certified nurse practitioner with extensive experience in both the medical and cosmetic dermatology fields. Before starting her nursing career, Naomi worked as a newspaper reporter for the Monterey County Herald. In 2001, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree with a specialty in geriatrics from the highly esteemed University of California, San Francisco. After completing her training, Naomi worked for three years as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner at University of California, Davis Medical Center.

She then moved to the world’s epicenter of skin cancer disease, Australia, and began working as a registered nurse at the well regarded Skin and Cancer Foundation, Australia. During her nine years in that role, Naomi received expert training in various dermatological specialties, including Mohs surgery, laser and cosmetic treatments, phototherapy and management of general skin conditions.

Naomi came back to her home state of California in 2015, and soon joined Poway Dermatology, where she is an integral part of our medical staff team. She lives in Poway with her husband and two daughters.

      non-pharmacological treatments.
