WHAT IS THE UNIVERSAL IPL LASER?

The Universal IPL Laser treats pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, sun damage, rosacea, and unwanted hair growth. The treatment comes with Sapphirecool light guides that help lessen any discomfort a patient may experience. Patients often describe each pulse as a slight stinging sensation. After the procedure, the skin may be red for a few hours.

To achieve maximum results, three to six treatments spaced four to eight weeks apart is recommended. Each treatment will last about twenty minutes, and requires little to no downtime. This allows patients to receive the treatment on weekdays, without intruding upon daily activities.

WHAT IS THE ND:YAG LASER?

The ND:YAG is a 1064 nm laser that is used to treat telangiectasia, hemangiomas, leg veins, and facial wrinkles. The procedure is very similar to the Universal IPL Laser and patients should expect a very similar experience.

WHAT IS THE Q-SWITCHED ND:YAG LASER?

The Q-Switched Nd:YAG is a 1064 nm long-pulsed laser that is used for tattoo removals and to treat pigmented lesions. Pigment from tattoos are treated by breaking up the ink particles and allowing them to be absorbed and expelled by the body. The number of required treatments varies per condition and will be tailored to each patient’s treatment goals. The experience of this treatment should be similar to the other two laser treatments. Our providers will review all questions and necessary information to ensure you are comfortable and ready for your laser treatment.

WHAT IS THE RESURFX?

The ResurFX is a non-ablative fractionated laser that works best for improving your skin texture and skin tone. Non ablative lasers heat up the inner layers of skin without damaging the outer layer, allowing for the body to produce new collagen. Great candidates for non-ablative resurfacing treatments are between 25-65 years old, have mild aging, and can’t take time off from work.

HOW DO I KNOW I AM A CANDIDATE?

The best candidates for any laser treatments are those who have lighter skin tones and have had minimal sun exposure in the last 4-6 weeks. Darker skin tones are more prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and burns. Our expert laser surgeon ensures that all treatments are customized to each patient to ensure safety and the best possible outcome.
